Our
aim
is
to
become
the
best
exerciser
of
effective
SED
initiatives
within
the
manufacturing
industry
by
ensuring
impact
and
sustainability of community initiatives. M-TEC have assisted child and old age homes with groceries and other who are disadvantaged in time of bereavement.
M-TEC

elected
a
certain
couple
of
child
and
old
age
homes
this
current
year
as
an
ongoing
cultural
norm
to
give
back
to
the
society
and
the
under
privileged
community
at
large.
This
is
done
in
and around the communities in the Vaal area.

was
the
beneficiary
of

The
MCDC
is
a
non-governmental
organisation
that
reaches
out
to
give
a
daily care to about 600 orphans and vulnerable children affected by HIV&AIDS, aged 2-20 years

Coal (for warmth and to enable them to cook their food)
Blankets and Clothing
School Clothes and shoes
Various other needs
Shalom Children Ministries
The Shalom Children Ministries is a non-government organization with 100% black beneficiaries whom received assistance from M-TEC team, and the organization have more than 72 children from
the age of 3 to 18 years permanently living in that home.
EDUCATION – Vaal University Of Technology & Wits Medical School

In
the
area
of
education,
M-TEC
provided
financial
support
of
R
150
000
to
Vaal
University
of
Technology
towards
their
Centre
of
Excellence
to
develop
students
that
will
become
the
leaders
of
tomorrow. And accepting their engineering students to do their practicals in our operations side to complete their qualifications.

The
company
also
provided
support
of
R
30
000
to
Wits
Student
Surgical
Society
to
perform
corrective
facial
constructive
surgery
and
treatment
for
children
with
facial
anomalies.
The
donation also assisted the student society to organise the “Climb the highest mountain event” to raise funds or get other potential sponsors to support children with facial conditions.
To ensure that we continue our progress we have outlined the next initiatives for new financial year:
Allocate bursaries for black Engineering and accounting students as per our Supplier Development Plans.
Assist schools around Vaal and in Rural areas with learning aids and financially
Establish a monitoring and evaluation structure for our programmes.

To
ensure
that
M-TEC
(PTY)
LTD
continues
on
its
progress
for
assisting
those
who
are
less
privileged,
the
below
are
the
recent
activities
in
which
we
have
supported
our
local
community
organizations which applied for an assistance from our company.
Thekganang Support Group
Thekganang
Support
Group
is
the
centre
for
elderly
people
with
various
disabilities;
and
despite
of
their
disability
these
elders
use
their
hands
to
create
candles
with
different
designs
and
colors
specified by their customers. M-TEC came to meet some of the needs to support the centre so it can continue with their good work.
Vukuzenzele Old Age Home
The
company
also
assisted
the
home
with
future
items
which
was
requested
as
one
of
their
needs
too.
The
home
provides
elderly
care
and
accommodates
70
plus
elderly
people
in
and
around
Vaal area.
Tshepong Day Care Center
The
center
provide
secured
and
safe
home
for
vulnerable
children
who
are
infected
or
affected
victims
of
HIV/AIDS,
emotional
and
physical
abused
and
for
those
who
are
exposed
to
all
kinds
of
sexual abuse. And the company presented the support to the center to donate electrical appliances as per their wish list.
Shalom Children Ministries
The home was also provided with electrical appliances to meet some of their needs to unburden some of their challenges to keep the center effective.
Mandela Day activity
As
we
all
celebrated
the
Madiba
Day
(18
July
2016)
around
the
country,
M-TEC
became
one
of
the
participating
companies
to
make
a
different
to
those
who
are
less
fortunate.
The
kids
were
given
goodies bags to put a smile in their faces, and they were so happy indeed!
