The progression of M-TEC's stranding technology in copper and aluminium led to the production of PVC cables in 1970. There was a ready market for the products and today the company produces PVC and XLPE cables in an extensive range of sizes and voltages, all bearing the SABS mark. Internal quality assurance standards are high and in complete compliance with ISO 9002 requirements.
Plain annealed stranded copper conductor to SABS 1507
PVC insulated, PVC bedded, galvanised SWA (steel wire armoured), PVC sheathed 600 / 1000V cable.
These cables are also available with an earth continuity conductor (ECC) ie where some steel armour wires are replaced by hard drawn tinned copper wires.
Solid aluminium conductor
Annealed solid aluminium conductor, PVC insulated, PVC bedded, galvanised SWA (steel wire armoured), PVC sheathed 600 / 1000V cable.
